Message from the Headteacher 5th May
5th May 2017
I hope this email finds you well. We have had another busy and productive week at Dr Thomlinson Middle School.
Tuesday, May 2nd saw 7I take part in a Science Field trip to Steng Moss. The weather was far better than the original day planned for the trip and everyone involved had a really good time.
Today saw a very successful fundraiser for the Year 8 yearbook. There was a cake sale and a non-uniform day. We have raised over £300. Thank you very much to all the Year 8 students who made cakes for the event. Our core value of the week was “Service” and our bakers have truly embraced this core value.
Next Wednesday, May 10th sees another Friends of Dr Thomlinson Middle School event. There will be Field Games followed by a picnic. The event will be from 3:30pm to 5:45pm. If you wish your child to be involved please return the reply slip by Monday, May 8th.
Next week also sees our Year 6 students taking their Key Stage Two SATs Tests. All our students work very hard at school but our Year 6 students have been working especially hard in the last few months. I know they will do their very best during next week’s activities. We are all very proud of them. I have attached a letter giving information about the tests to this email.
